Part 1: Creating the Ultimate Customizable Planner for 2025

No matter what planning tool I use, there’s always a restriction that makes it not quite fit. That’s the frustration I’ve faced year after year. The 2024 planner had so many features I loved—over 100 templates for daily planning, tasks, writing, research, reading, and more. But as much as I adored the versatility, it had its flaws.

For one, the planner was overwhelming. Users loved the idea but often said they couldn’t afford it, or they felt like they didn’t use all the templates. On top of that, my needs evolved throughout the year, and the rigid format couldn’t keep up. Sometimes, I just wanted to jot down quick notes or use a simple table to track everything without rearranging my planner.

And then came the cost of using additional apps like Monday . com or Notion to fill the gaps. Monday . com, for instance, had a format I liked—lists in tables with labels—but it didn’t include the features I loved about my planner, and at nearly $30 per month, it wasn’t worth it.

That’s when I decided it was time to solve this problem once and for all—not just for myself but for anyone who’s struggled with rigid, expensive, or overwhelming planning systems. My goal is to create the most customizable and comprehensive planner ever—one that feels like an app but is fully adaptable to your needs.

This series will take you through every step of the process, starting with building the foundation and ending with the final product.

This is Part 1 of the journey. Stay tuned for Part 2.

Love,

Omoye
